Back to School // DIY // Marble Notebook

Hey guys and dolls!
It’s that time of the year again, it’s BTS time. I want to give you a hand on this back to school so you can have the best year EVAH! Hehe. So, the next few posts will be about this. If you’re a student, lucky you! If you’re not, maybe you could share this post with someone you love and would like it? Thank you! My readers are the best.

I don’t know about you, but something that always got me excited on my back to school days was stationary! Okay, I have to admit it, I have a thing for stationary. It’s just super satisfactory for me to simply own stationary – especially if it’s minimalistic. Unfortunately, cute and minimalistic stationers have a really bad effect on my wallet.
If you’re anything like me, you want your back to school to be smooth, fashion and inexpensive and that’s why I thought I should share with you my secret for super cute, minimalist and affordable stationary (you can thank me later).

Now, if you’re not a student, don’t worry, you can do this pretty much with everything you own to keep you organized, so keep reading and stop moaning.

What you’ll need:

  • A Notebook (duh)
  • Scissors
  • A ruler
  • Marble adhesive paper

Start by measuring the notebook on the adhesive paper. As you can see, I used on this measures behind. If you don’t have one like that, worry not. That’s what you need the ruler for.

Cut the paper leaving 2cm around the notebook – that will our berms.

With the notebook closed, start by unwrapping the adhesive paper while you put one of the faces of the notebook on the paper. Do this until you have all the adhesive paper unwrapped and the notebook “glued” to the adhesive paper.
Glue the berms to the inside of the notebook cover.

And voilá… you have a super fashion, affordable and minimalistic notebook.

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

Estimated price: I paid 0,75€ for the notebook plus 1,50€ for 3m of this marble adhesive paper. I saw online that you can find this marble adhesive paper for about 4£ so, you can estimate the price. For me, it cost me about 1€ which is 0,85£.

I’m absolutely in love with this but what about you? What do you think? Please let me know in the comment section how you feel about my Back To School miniseries.

I’ve been really obsessed about anything marble lately. I actually watched a lot of DIY on youtube about marble phone cases since I couldn’t find any in my area. Now this! <3 thank youu

I tried doing something like that before but not in a notebook but a Stradmore and too bad I can’t seem to smooth it out. It appeared like some parts have bubbles because of air trapped.

    1. ellaivoire

      29 August, 2016 at 20:50

Have you tried to smoothing it out while you’re still “glueing” the paper? It works wonders! xx
