Blogging 101 | 3 Killer Apps To Up Your Instagram Game

Hey guys,

Sorry I haven’t posted a lot lately but I’ve been working hard on my blog despite it. As some of you can see, there’s been a few changes about the design, and a lot of changes on the backstage. I’m spending a lot of time planning and writing for the blog, and lately I’ve spent (too much) time into looking for my first DSLR camera. Even though it’s one of the most exciting things in my life right now (is it sad? Let’s pretend it’s not) that’s not what today’s post is all about.

Today’s post is the first of (hopefully many) monthly posts with tips and tricks off all things related to blogging and social media so feel free to join the conversations with your expertise on the comments!

I thought about starting this monthly series by talking about 3 apps that are a game changer to anyone committed to have a killer Instagram page.

Even though I’m just at roughly 7.4k followers (as I write this) since I’ve started using this 3 apps, my Instagram has been growing more than I would ever think it would, having reached about 1000 likes per picture!

I know it’s a cliché and everyone talks about this app, but really, the things you can do with it the editing process are amazing. Make sure you have the premium version so you can access more filters!

Pro Tip: Don’t stick with just one preset! Play with contrast, brightness and others so you’ll have the perfect photo anytime!

Boomerang is widely known by now. It allows you to create a mini-video in a loop to make your feed pop! I really love using it for things like turntables, waves or even just steps!

Pro Tip: Use it on your Instagram Stories for a more dynamic story!

And finally, my favourite: Snapseed!

Snapseed is a free tool by Google that allows you to do heavy editing on your pictures. You can adjust contrast, brightness, add filters, play with curves and so much more! It’s an endless world of opportunities. It’s a lot like Lightroom which is (almost) similar to Photoshop. The best part is that it is user friendly and it’s free!

Pro Tip: Don’t just stick a filter on your photo, play with the features that come with Snapseed to create your own preset!

What about you? What are your favourite Instagram tools and why? Let me know in the comments!
